Welcome to the Menasha Rotary Club website. I hope you will find our club of interest and the website informative. If you have any questions that are not answered here, please feel free to contact us using the “Contact” tab above.
Rotary is the largest service organization in the world, with more than 1.2 million members in over 200 countries. Our current global focus is to eradicate the world of Polio. We have reached a critical juncture in this fight. The fight has been successful enough that many believe that polio has already been eradicated. While the efforts to date have reduced the incidence of Polio dramatically, there are still a few areas of the world where polio cases still surface. As our ad campaign states “We are this close.” Now, more than ever, it is important to keep our eyes on the ball and do our part to help finish the job once and for all.
We are also embarking on a clean water initiative. Currently, more than one billion people worldwide lack access to reliable sources of safe water and more than this lack access to sanitary waste disposal systems. This creates an environment that allows the disease-poverty cycle to thrive. Rotary is making an effort to bring clean drinking water and basic sanitation to communities in the developing world.
At the local level, we take part in activities that benefit the community, while at the same time generating funds that allow us to provide scholarships to college-bound high school seniors, and to fund other worthy causes in our area.
Please come join us at one of our weekly meetings at Waverly Beach, N8770 Fire Lane 1 in Menasha every Wednesday at noon. We hope to see you soon!
Jim Rudd
